Oh the Wonders of Autumn

Fall is probably the most fun time to do crafts (in my opinion)! So many fun and interactive crafts out there for the classroom and at home!

Apple Stamps! This can really be done with most hard flesh fruits (pears or oranges)  and the fruit can be cut multiple ways for different patterns. My favorite is cutting the apple horizontally so that the star pattern in the seed section shows.

Leaf rubbing, a wonderful way to  enforce the concept of the life of a leaf (photosynthesis) as the students see the veins in the leaves coming  through the paper in the wax.

Another leaf project that requires a bit more preparation and class time but it such a BEAUtiful product!! I will be trying this soon ;)  Try it out!!

These are just too cute!! and so easy to make!!!! Here is how to make these adorable Paper Pumpkins

Think. Pair. Share.

Hello! As you can see I have revamped the blog. I got to thinking that the whole just blogging about random things was not working out for me so I decided to scratch it and start over.
If you haven't noticed already I am a senior education major at BBC (soon to graduate next fall!).  Throughout my 3 years , almost 4, I have accumulated so many resources and projects and ideas that I think it is time to start sharing! From hence forth this will be a "Passion Blog" , meaning it will be all about my passion, teaching. The blog title comes from a teaching strategy that every education major on the planet knows.

Think. Pair. Share.  Think , allowing students to think about a piece of information or question you have posed to them. Pair , talk to your neighbor!  see what they think and collaborate. Finally, share, share with everyone else your answers or ideas.  Every single person on the planet uses this process countless times a day. It is how we process and come to fully understand information. It is also how we connect with the ideas of others. So this is the idea and purpose behind my blog!  I hope to regularly post ideas, crafts, teaching thoughts and the happenings in the life a an education major 2 steps from the threshold of  graduation.

Here goes nothing!
